The least is greater

Born of women is an old expression for every human being. John was the last in the long line of prophets, the man who cleared the way. But he was in prison. He would not live to see the resurrection.

Then comes a sentence that unsettles: the least in the kingdom is greater than he. John stood on the threshold and pointed to what was coming. Those who come after him can step inside. Greatness in the kingdom is no reward for whoever works hardest. It is a place you are given.
