Not far away

A scribe asks which commandment is the most important. He agrees with Jesus' answer and adds: loving God and your neighbour is more than all the offerings. And he said this in the temple, where sacrifices were made all day long. Matthew turns it into a test. Mark doesn't.

Not far: a compliment, and also an open ending. Close is not yet inside. You can understand everything well and still have a step to take. That step isn't even more knowledge, but following him.
