Power from above
Pilate grew impatient. Knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? He was the Roman governor. In 1961 archaeologists found a stone in Caesarea bearing his name.
Jesus answered calmly. You only have that power because it was given you from above. Even the most powerful person is not the highest power. John writes that from then on Pilate sought to release him.

Which power seems great in my life, but isn't the highest?
