A little salt
In Jesus' time salt was precious. It gave flavour and kept food from spoiling. You only need a little of it to change the whole dish.
Here too Jesus doesn't say: become salt. He says: you are. You don't have to be big or loud. A small amount, well spread, makes the difference.
