A new name
Andrew brought his brother Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and straight away gave him a new name. Kepha is Aramaic for rock. In Greek it became Peter.
The striking thing is: Simon was nothing like a rock. He was impulsive, said things he didn't live up to and later denied Jesus three times. Jesus named him after who he would become, not after who he was.

What name would Jesus give me, after who I could become?
