The last word

These are the very last words of Jesus in the Bible. After everything he said, from the temple at twelve years old to the letters to seven churches, it ends with a promise.

John answers: Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. One of the oldest Christian prayers has been preserved in Aramaic: Maranatha, our Lord, come. The story isn't finished yet. The last word is: I come.
