Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?

On the road to Emmaus
Two disciples walked away from Jerusalem, disappointed, to a village some eleven kilometres away. Someone walked with them. They didn't recognise him.
On the way he explained the Scriptures to them. Only when he broke bread at home did they see who he was. Afterwards they said to each other: did not our heart burn within us while he talked with us by the way? Sometimes you only recognise him afterwards.
Question for today
Where did Jesus walk with me without my noticing?
Prayer
Lord, walk with me on my walks. Open my eyes to your presence, even when I don't recognise you. Let my heart burn. Amen.
