Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a seed; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

The grain of wheat
Some Greeks wanted to see Jesus. The news reached him through Philip and Andrew. His answer wasn't about an appointment, but about a grain of wheat.
A grain that you keep stays a grain. Only when it falls into the ground and stops being a grain does an ear full of grains appear. So his death would bear fruit for the whole world, those Greeks included.
Question for today
What do I need to let go of, so that something new can grow?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, you were the grain of wheat that fell into the ground. Teach me to let go of what has to die, so that there is fruit. Amen.
