Do this
On the last evening Jesus took bread, gave thanks to God, broke it and gave it to his disciples. It was the meal around the feast of Passover, when Jews remember the liberation from Egypt.
Paul had already written these words down some twenty years later, in his letter to the Christians in Corinth. It is one of the oldest traditions about Jesus we have. Ever since, Christians all over the world have celebrated this meal. Not to understand something, but to remember.
Question for today
What do I remember when I receive the bread and wine?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, you gave your body for me. When I break bread, let me remember you. Thank you for your love to the end. Amen.
