Better that I go
The disciples were sad that Jesus was going away. Understandably. They had left everything for him. Expedient here means: good for you.
Yet he says it is good for them. As long as he was with them in the body, he could only be in one place at a time. Through the Spirit he can be with everyone, everywhere. What feels like loss is sometimes the way to something greater.
