Take courage! As you have testified about Me in Jerusalem, so also you must testify in Rome.

At Rome too
After a tumult before the Jewish council, Paul was held prisoner in Jerusalem. There was a plot to kill him. That night the Lord stood by him.
Be of good cheer. You will get to Rome as well. It happened, but perhaps differently than Paul had imagined: as a prisoner, after a shipwreck. Acts ends with Paul living in Rome for two years and speaking boldly about Jesus. God's promise came true, by an unexpected route.
Question for today
Which promise of God might come true by a different route than I expected?
Prayer
Lord, you stand by me at night too. Keep up my courage when the road runs differently than I expected. Amen.
