A woman with a lamp
Between the parable of the lost sheep and that of the lost son stands this short parable. A woman loses a coin. She lights a lamp, sweeps the whole house and searches until she has it.
Striking: in this parable it is a woman who pictures God. A housewife with a broom. And as with the sheep, it ends in a celebration. There is joy in the presence of the angels over one who comes back.

How does it feel that God searches for me as for something precious?
