Two masters

Mammon is an Aramaic word for money and possessions. Jesus almost turns it into a person, a master you can serve. For him money isn't a neutral tool.

He doesn't say money is bad. He says it can become your boss. And two bosses at once doesn't work. In the end one of them decides your choices.

Question for today

Who makes my most important choices, God or money?

Prayer

Lord, I want to serve you alone. Free me from the power of money. Let it be my servant, and not my master. Amen.
