Enough

Paul had a thorn in the flesh. What exactly it was, we don't know. An illness, an opponent, something else. He prayed three times for it to go away. It didn't.

Instead he received this answer. It is one of the few words of the risen Jesus that Paul passes on verbatim. Paul concludes: when I am weak, then am I strong. Not in spite of his weakness, but within it.

Question for today

Which weakness may I stop hiding, and give to God instead?

Prayer

Lord, your grace is sufficient for me. I give you my weakness. Let your strength become visible in it. Amen.
