With your mind too
A lawyer asked Jesus which is the greatest commandment. Jesus quoted a text from Deuteronomy. There it says: with your heart, your soul and your might. In Matthew, Jesus names heart, soul and mind.
Thinking is not the enemy of faith. Asking questions, checking, investigating can all be a form of love. God doesn't only want your feelings, but your head as well.
Question for today
How can my thinking be a form of love for God today?
Prayer
God, you gave me a mind that likes to work out how things fit together. Let me not use it against you, but for you. Take my heart, my soul and my mind. Amen.
