Let the children come
People brought children to Jesus, but the disciples sent them away. Mark writes that Jesus was much displeased. A rare moment when we see him angry. Suffer here means allow.
Children had little status in those days. They couldn't achieve anything or give anything back. That is exactly why they belong to the kingdom. Whoever wants to enter must receive it like a child: with empty hands.
