Let them grow together

An enemy sowed tares among the wheat. Probably darnel, a plant that at first is almost impossible to tell apart from wheat. The servants wanted to pull it up straight away.

No, said the master. You'll pull up the wheat with it. Let both grow together until the harvest. It is a call to patience. We are not the ones who have to decide what is wheat and what is weed. That comes later, and it isn't up to us.

Question for today

Where do I want to judge too quickly about what is good and bad?

Prayer

Lord, give me patience. Teach me that judging isn't my job. Let me be good wheat, and leave the rest to you. Amen.
