A word not found in the Gospels
This well-known word of Jesus appears in none of the four Gospels. Paul quotes it in a farewell speech to the leaders of the church in Ephesus.
It shows that more words of Jesus were circulating than the Gospel writers recorded. John says so himself at the end of his Gospel. This word has been preserved because Paul passed it on. And it fits everything Jesus lived.
