Such faith

A Roman centurion, an outsider and an occupier, asked Jesus to heal his sick servant. When Jesus wanted to come with him, he said: Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

As an officer he understood how authority works. An order is carried out, even at a distance. Jesus marvelled. His words are still heard today in the Catholic Mass, just before communion.
