A way, not a map
On the evening before his death, Jesus tells his disciples that they know the way to where he is going. Thomas honestly says they don't even know where he is going. How could they know the way?
Jesus gives no directions. He points to himself. The way is not a scheme you have to work out, but someone you can follow. You don't have to see the whole route. You only have to stay close to him.

Where am I trying to see the whole map, when the next step is enough?

Lord Jesus, you are the way. I don't have to know everything. Show me the next step today, and give me the courage to take it. Amen.
