Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

Words that remain
Jesus was speaking about the future and said: learn a parable of the fig tree. When its branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is near. Many trees in Israel, like the olive, keep their leaves all year. The fig doesn't. It is a true seasonal tree.
Then this great word. Everything passes away: stars, mountains, empires. His words don't. Two thousand years later you are still reading them. Today too, here.
Question for today
Which words do I build on, when everything around me is changing?
Prayer
Lord, everything changes, but your words remain. Let me build on what does not pass away. Amen.
