Many are called

A king gave a wedding feast. The invited guests didn't come. Then people were brought in from the streets, both bad and good. The hall was filled.

But one guest wasn't wearing a wedding garment. He was put out. It is a strange, stern detail. Everyone is welcome, just as you are. But you don't come in as if it didn't matter to you. Accepting an invitation also means letting yourself be changed.

Question for today

How do I prepare for God's feast?

Prayer

Lord, thank you that I am invited. Clothe me with what suits your feast, and don't let me come in indifferent. Amen.
