The keys
John was in exile on the island of Patmos. There he saw the risen Christ, so overwhelming that he fell at his feet as dead.
Christ laid his right hand on him and said: fear not. The same words as on the lake, on the mountain and at the tomb. And then: I have the keys of death. Whoever holds the keys decides who may come out.
