Women as the first witnesses

The first witnesses of the resurrection were women. The Jewish historian Flavius Josephus writes that the testimony of women was not accepted in that time. Anyone inventing a story to convince people would not have told it this way.

And notice what Jesus calls the disciples: my brethren. The same men who had abandoned him a few days earlier. No reproach, but an invitation.
