Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction.

More than healed
Trembling, the woman came forward and told Jesus the whole truth. She had thought: if I only touch his clothes, I will be healed. Jesus gives her exactly that word back. In Greek one verb means both to heal and to save.
She was already better before he said anything. Still he says: your faith has healed you, which can also be read as saved you. Healed was about her body. Saved reaches further: her fear, her place, her future. And he adds: be free of your affliction. It is over, inside too.
Question for today
What in me has been healed, but not yet made whole?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, you give more than I dared to ask. Don't only make me better, make me whole. Amen.
