Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.

The lilies of the field
Solomon was the richest and most splendid king in Israel's history. Jesus says a wild flower is dressed more beautifully than he was.
And those flowers are here today and tomorrow are thrown into the oven as fuel. Yet God clothes them so beautifully. Then Jesus lovingly calls his listeners: O ye of little faith. Not faithless, but with a little too little trust.
Question for today
What am I worrying about that God has long since taken care of?
Prayer
Father, you clothe the flowers of the field. You take care of me too. Enlarge my little faith. Amen.
