Power to bear witness
These are the last words of Jesus before his ascension. He promises the disciples power, not their own, but from the Holy Spirit. Ten days later, at Pentecost, it happened.
The verse also names the route: Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, and the uttermost part of the earth. That is exactly how the book of Acts is structured. The story isn't finished. It goes on to this day.
