Ephesus: first love

The first of seven letters goes to the church in Ephesus. It receives a lot of praise. Hard-working, persevering, critical of false apostles. A healthy, doctrinally sound church.

But one thing was missing: the first love. You can do everything right and have lost the fire. The remedy Christ gives is simple: remember from whence thou art fallen, and do the first works.
