But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.

I have prayed for you
Jesus knew Peter would deny him. He warned him. But he immediately added: I have prayed for you.
And notice the word when. Not: if you ever come back. But: when you have turned back. That is what converted means here. Jesus was already counting on Peter's restoration before he fell. And he gave him a task for afterwards: strengthen thy brethren. Whoever has fallen himself is best placed to help others up.
Question for today
How can my own falling and getting up strengthen others?
Prayer
Lord, you pray for me, even when I fall. Thank you that you are already counting on my restoration. Use my weakness to strengthen others. Amen.
