The meek
This Beatitude comes almost word for word from Psalm 37. Jesus is quoting the Scriptures of his own people.
Meek is not weak. The Greek word was also used for a tamed horse: strength under control. The Bible calls Moses the meekest man on earth, and he was anything but weak. And Jesus calls himself meek.

Lord Jesus, you are meek and lowly in heart. Temper my strength with gentleness, and don't let me fight for what you want to give me. Amen.
