All things new

At the end of the Bible John sees a new heaven and a new earth. God shall wipe away all tears. No more death, no sorrow, no pain.

Then he that sits upon the throne speaks: I make all things new. Not: I make all new things. The old isn't thrown away, but renewed. And the last offer is free: water of life for whoever is thirsty. Freely.

Question for today

What in my life is waiting to be made new?

Prayer

Lord, you make all things new. Begin with me today. I am thirsty. Give me of your water, freely. Amen.
