Coming in the clouds

Jesus uses the language of the old prophets: the sun darkened, the moon giving no light, stars falling. That is how Isaiah and others described great upheavals in history.

And then the image from Daniel 7: one like a son of man comes with the clouds and receives a dominion that never passes away. Jesus often called himself the Son of Man. Here it becomes clear why. The story doesn't end in chaos, but with him.
