What's new?
Jesus said this on the same evening he had washed his disciples' feet. The work of a servant. Then he calls it a new commandment.
But love of neighbour was already in the law of Moses. So what is new? The measure. Not: as you love yourself. But: as I have loved you. With a towel round his waist, bending down to someone else's feet.

Prayer
Lord, you knelt before your disciples, even before those who would abandon you. Teach me to love as you do. Not from above, but bending down. Amen.
